Find A Cosmetic Dentist

Wednesday, August 18th, 2010

It used to be that in Houston you could find a dentist just by walking down to the corner of the street. Like many small towns, there would be a dentist on the corner of ‘north and main’, just up from the fire house, and across from the bakery.

Today, finding a cosmetic dentist around Houston can take a little more time, and a little more effort. Our local Houston community is spread out a little more, and there is more than one option for finding a local dentist in Houston.

Let’s look at a few of the ways to find a local cosmetic dentist in Houston:

The old timers among us still reach for the yellow pages when we look to find a dentist in our local Houston community. The yellow pages have been a standard for dentists since the beginning, and are a quick way to get a good list of local Houston cosmetic dentists.

Studies are showing an ever increasing number of Houston consumers are turning to their Internet connection to find a dentist. To find a cosmetic dentist online can mean more than just a name and a phone number; many dentists, like us, have additional information on their website that will help you gain a better understanding of their practice and the services they provide.

Many people find a cosmetic dentist in the Houston community through printed mailers and flyers that come to your door. Houston dentists spend a lot of money on these types of flyers, which can often carry a discount opportunity or special promotion.

The most popular method used to find a local dentist? …Word of mouth. Studies have shown that people in Houston are more willing to listen to a family member or close friend when it comes to finding a local Houston cosmetic dentist.

We understand this last point, and make it our job to keep our patients happy, healthy, informed and comfortable during their visit to the dentist. We know if you leave happy, your friends and family in the Houston area will hear about us, too.

If you are looking for a cosmetic dentist in Houston, please give us a call. You can reach us at (281) 571-3760.

If you know a friend who is trying to find a dentist in the Houston area, please pass our name along.

We look forward to seeing you both!

Willowbrook Dental Care in Houston

Willowbrook Dental Care in Houston Hello! I’m Dr. J. Scott Anderson, DDS, of Willowbrook Dental Care in Houston.

I have been practicing general and cosmetic dentistry for several years now. Dentistry is a challenging and fascinating profession; dentists must have diagnostic skills, dexterity, extensive scientific knowledge, and good visual memory. Dentistry also requires artistic ability. In addition to the technical aspects of dentistry, I really enjoy interacting with my Houston dental patients.

I recognize that my clients have other choices in Houston area dental practices, and I work continually to earn their trust and surpass their expectations.

Each dentistry client is unique. Many of my patients come in twice-yearly for an exam and cleaning. We help them maintain excellent oral health. Some cosmetic dentistry clients come to me seeking major restorative dental work. It is extremely gratifying to complete a smile makeover and see the client’s reaction when they see the result for the first time. We even offer sedation dentistry for clients who feel nervous or anxious about dental visits.

When I have a pre-treatment consultation with a new dentistry client, it is very informative for both of us. The patient learns the specifics about the possible procedures and I learn about the clients’ goals, concerns and expectations. Then I work with the client to develop a dental treatment plan that fits the patient’s needs, desired outcome and budget.

My dental practice is located at 17350 State Highway 249, Ste. 200, Houston, TX in Houston. If you are looking for an experienced sedation and cosmetic dentist in the Houston area, call (281) 571-3760 to schedule a consultation.

I look forward to meeting with you.

Tooth Whitening Dentistry In Houston

Tooth whitening has really taken off in Houston. It has become a popular dental procedure and can provide excellent results if done properly.

There are a lot of options when it comes to tooth whitening. You can choose from a selection of over-the-counter options that you can get at your local pharmacy, or can go to a professional to get a complete tooth whitening solution.

It is a good idea to consult with your dentist before a tooth whitening, regardless of whether you choose to use an over-the-counter product. Your dentist will be able to help you understand the results you can expect, and can help recommend a product that will work for you.

There are many variables when it comes to tooth whitening. The color of your teeth at the beginning of your treatment will make a difference for your ending result. Different tooth whitening treatments will each produce a different result. Your Houston dentist has experience with tooth coloration and the types of treatments available.

In many cases, your Houston dentist will be able to provide you with a tooth whitening solution that you can take home with you. In some cases, your Houston dentist may recommend a professional treatment that is done at the dentist’s office.

Professional tooth whitening can produce dramatic results in a single treatment, and is often done over a few treatments.

Tooth whitening is less expensive than it was in the earlier days of tooth whitening technology. Today, tooth whitening treatments are very affordable, and don’t take the time they used to.

If you are interested in a tooth whitening consultation in the Houston area, please call Willowbrook Dental Care and make an appointment to see me. I will be happy to give you a check up, assess your tooth color, and recommend tooth whitening treatments that may be right for you.

Tooth Ache Pain The Size of Houston

Sunday, February 28th, 2010

Houston Tooth Whitening

Patients often come into our Houston Texas dental practice and complain about ‘a toothache the size of Texas’. I understand this kind of pain, and realize that when you describe it like that, it really hurts. I can help.

Tooth ache pain for anyone in Houston can be unbearable. At the very least, toothache pain can cause you to avoid eating certain foods, certain temperatures, and even talking. Severe toothache pain can be downright debilitating, forcing patients to go to extreme measures to alleviate the pain.

Around Houston, the most common causes of a tooth ache include tooth infection, decay, injury, and loss of a tooth. Tooth pain can also occur after a tooth has been extracted, or after an oral surgery involving anything from a tooth or your jawbone.

I can help you better understand the source of your tooth ache pain, and in most cases can provide a nearly immediate remedy. In severe cases, we are equipped to council you on a variety of resolutions.

Of course, the best way to avoid tooth ache pain is to visit your Houston dentist often, and to care properly for your teeth including the regular regimen of brushing and flossing.

If you are experiencing tooth ache pain, and just can’t stand it any more, please give me a call; I am standing by to help.
